Key deliverables
• Improving response to equipment breakdowns,
• Adherence to planned and preventative maintenance schedules
• Participation in a range of continuous improvement activities with the target of improving equipment performance and reducing unplanned stoppages.

Working Week : 37.5 Hours Mon-Fri shift work required
Salary : £150.00 Per Week

Future Prospects : Fully qualified Electrical (or Mechanical) Maintenance Engineer, with development in leading a team.
Training to be Provided : Advanced Apprentices benefit from on-the-job assessment but also attend college on a day release to gain knowledge qualifications; this framework lasts up to 4 years.

Employment Rights and Responsibilities - Induction
Functional Skills Level 2– Maths, English, IT
Performing Engineering Operations Level 2 - attend college 1 day a week in the first year.
BTEC National Certificate in Electrical Diploma Engineering – attend college 1 day a week over 2 years starting in the 2nd year
NVQ 3 – Electrical /Electronic Engineering Maintenance this is delivered in the workplace
For college attendance the apprentices will be required to attend Keighley Campus.
Other Information : The National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is £3.40 per hour from 1st October 2016. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
Things to consider : Please note the employer is matching the age of the successful applicant to the current national minimum wage.
